Mission Statement

Unite the Catholic community around the mission of Habitat for Humanity of Orange County to provide a safe and decent place for limited income Orange County families, elderly, and veterans to live.


Who We Are
The Catholic Coalition is a collective organization of more than 25 parishes, Catholic businesses, and groups in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange partnering on new home construction developments with Habitat for Humanity of Orange County (Habitat OC).





















Catholic Coalition Achievements
o   August 2016- Received a letter of support from Bishop Vann encouraging parishes to get involved with Habitat OC
o   Raised $150,000 to sponsor a two-home development in Tustin that was dedicated for deserving veteran families
o   Hosted more than 20 Habitat 101 nights at parishes throughout the Diocese to raise awareness on the issue of affordable housing 
o   More than 1,000 Catholic volunteer hours went into constructing homes and serving in various ways with Habitat OC
o   The Catholic community is actively building on the construction site every month since April 2018
o   On September 15, 2018 Bishop Vann came to the Tustin construction site to bless the homes and families
o   Pastors from throughout the county gathered to celebrate and bless the ground breaking, wall rising, and Bishop Vann ceremony for the Tustin homes and families
o   Completed two veteran homes in Tustin in November 2018.
o   Dedicated two homes in Tustin and gave keys to two veteran families on December 8, 2018.
o   The Catholic Coalition has pledged to raise $300,000 as a Cornerstone Sponsor for 12 homes that will be built in Fullerton
